On Tuesday 28 February 2023, a World Bank delegation led by its resident representative in Burkina Faso, Maimouna Mbow Fam, was received by the Minister of Energy, Mines and Quarries, Simon-Pierre Boussim.
The delegation is in Burkina Faso on a mission to support the electricity sector support project (PASEL), which is in its closing phase, and the new large-scale solar and rural electrification project (SOLEER).
The delegation reported the mission’s recommendations to the Burkina Faso Ministry of Energy. According to the World Bank’s resident representative in Burkina Faso, Maimouna Mbow Fam, the meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the new priorities of the transition. She took the opportunity to request the support of Minister Boussim for the accelerated implementation of the SOLEER project.
