In an announcement issued in Toronto, Canada on 11 April 2023, IAMGOLD Corporation, which operates the IAMGOLD Essakane SA mine in Burkina Faso, advises that it expects to release its first trimester 2023 operating and financial results after market hours on Thursday 11 May 2023. Senior management will hold a conference call to discuss operating and financial performance on Friday 12 May 2023.

The place of IAMGOLD Essakane SA in the Burkinabe mining sector
Essakane in Burkina Faso went into commercial production in July 2010. The mine successfully completed its expansion in 2015. Essakane is the largest mining project in Burkina Faso in terms of area, annual gold production, employees and taxes paid to the state and communities. IAMGOLD is a 90% shareholder and the government of Burkina Faso a 10% shareholder.
The company is building the large-scale, long-life Côté Gold project in Canada in partnership with Sumitomo Metals & Mining of Japan, which is expected to begin production in early 2024. In addition, the company has a well-established portfolio of early and advanced exploration projects in high potential mining districts in the Americas.
