The security company Techno-Security, a subcontractor of the Nordgold / Bissa Gold SA mine, made a symbolic handover of food to the communities affected by the mine’s operations on 20 April 2023.
The President of the Special Delegation of Sabcé, Aristide Bado, President of the symbolic handing over ceremony did not miss the opportunity to thank Techno Security and Nordgold / Bissa Gold SA for this gesture towards the populations in difficulty.
For Techno Security’s Security Advisor and Community Relations Officer, Oumarou Zeba, this donation is part of his company’s social responsibility, which cannot remain on the sidelines of the national effort.
A total of 8 tonnes of rice will be distributed among the affected communes of Sabcé, Guibaré and Kongoussi in Bam province and Mané in Sanmatenga province.
The beneficiaries welcomed the donation with great gratitude as it comes in a difficult security and humanitarian context for the North Central region.
It will help to ensure food security for internally displaced persons and vulnerable people in the region.
