Endeavour Mining: Cathia Lawson-Hall appointed to the Board of Directors

Cathia Lawson-Hall has been appointed as an independent member of the Endeavour Mining board of directors with effect from 27 September 2023. The company announced this in a press release issued in London on 27 September 2023. Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Srinivasan Venkatakrishnan said: “I am delighted to welcome Cathia to the Endeavour Board. She brings a wealth of experience in strategy and finance, as well as a deep understanding of the African business environment. We look forward to welcoming her as a full member of our Board to support the business as it continues to grow”.

Who is Cathia Lawson-Hall?

Cathia Lawson-Hall is a highly experienced individual with over 25 years’ experience in corporate finance, banking and investment. She holds a master’s degree and a postgraduate diploma in finance from the University of Paris-Dauphine. Prior to her appointment to the Endeavour Board, she was Director of Client Relations and Investment Banking for Africa at Société Générale. She was responsible for relations with governments, major companies and African financial institutions. She subsequently sat on the Board of Directors of Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire.

Lawson-Hall is also a member of the Board of Directors of Agence Française de Développement as an independent director and an independent member of the Supervisory Board and Chairwoman of the Audit Committee of the Vivendi Group.

As a reminder, Endeavour Mining is a West African gold producer with operating assets in Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso and a strong portfolio of advanced development and exploration projects in West Africa’s highly prospective greenstone belt. In Burkina Faso, Endeavour operates the Houndé Gold and Semafo Mana mines.
