On Friday 24 November 2023, Fortuna Silver Mines’ mining company Roxgold Sanu opened the Bagassi mine site with days to promote excellence in occupational health and safety and environmental protection at its operations. Known as “HSE-Days”, these days will be held on 24 and 25 November 2023 and will celebrate excellence in occupational health and safety and environmental protection in the mine’s operations. #Mines_Actu_Burkina is following these days for you.
According to the head of the Health-Safety-Environment department, this second edition of the event is a springboard for the mining company to celebrate the excellence of the mine’s workers, who promote a good working environment. During the event, the 2022 report on the performance of Fortuna Silver Mines in general and Roxgold Sanu in particular will be presented. The outlook for the mine in the coming years will also be presented.
The ceremony was attended by a number of key figures, including the Director of the Office of the Minister for the Environment, the High Commissioner of the Bale province, the Canadian ambassador to Burkina Faso, the head of the Bagassi canton, and others.
The authorities and participants in the opening ceremony were given a guided tour of all Roxgold Sanu’s departments and subcontractors.
