With regard to Burkina Faso: “Our strategy, detailed in the sustainable development report, is reflected in concrete commitments such as the economic contribution of more than 180 billion FCFA, in the form of taxes, royalties and customs, and relations with around 450 national suppliers. More than 326 million FCFA invested in projects to encourage the socio-economic development of communities living near the sites in Burkina Faso, 8 billion CFA francs from the mining fund in 2022, and the creation of 2,871 jobs in 2022”, according to Souleymane Boly, Country Manager for Endeavour Mining in Burkina Faso.

“Aware of our responsibilities, strong in our values and thanks to the support of our partners in Burkina Faso, we are more determined than ever to continue this transformation,” he added.

For Lydie Kéré, the company’s major innovations in 2022 were the “Elites of Tomorrow” programme, which awarded study grants of 530 million FCFA to 24 students from host countries, and the “Village without malaria” programme, which involved reducing the incidence of malaria in Dagouna by 75% compared to previous years, to the tune of 100 million FCFA. These projects were implemented through the Endeavour Foundation.

The presentation ceremony was chaired by Oussoufou Gouba, technical adviser to the Minister of Energy, Mines and Quarries. It was attended by the High Commissioners of the Tuy (Houndé), Mouhoun (Dédougou) and Balé (Boromo) provinces.
