15 million FCFA. This is the contribution of the National Office for Mine Site Security (Office national de Sécurisation des Sites miniers – ONASSIM) to the Patriotic Support Fund (Fonds de soutien patriotique – FSP). The donation was received on Thursday 07 December 2023 by Emile Zerbo, Minister of Territorial Administration, Decentralisation and Security.

On behalf of the government, Emile Zerbo, Minister of Territorial Administration, Decentralisation and Security, expressed his gratitude to the ONASSIM. This donation should help to support the actions already undertaken to reclaim the national territory. He said it was a gesture that honoured ONASSIM. “Ever since the Head of State called on the structures to show solidarity, we have continued to receive aid right up to the present day. This is something to be welcomed. It’s a gesture that honours them”, he said.

According to ONASSIM’s Director General, Battalion Chief Serge Alain Tapsoba: “This gesture is essentially motivated by the Head of State’s call for solidarity and good citizenship”. He added that the donation was made at the suggestion of ONASSIM’s General Management and approved by its Board of Directors. According to him, this fund should “be used for all our internally displaced fellow citizens and for the Defence and Security Forces, as well as for the Volunteers for the Defence of the Homeland”, he argued.
