Fortuna Silver Mines Inc., which operates the Roxgold Sanu (Bagassi) mine in Burkina Faso, has released its 2023 production results from its five operating mines in Latin America and West Africa. For the full year 2023, its 5 mines produced a record 10,160 tonnes of gold (326,638 ounces of gold). This record production is 13% higher than in 2022.
Fortuna Silver Mines’ record production was due to record gold production from the Séguéla mine in the second half of the year, which exceeded the upper end of the forecast range. The Yaramoko mine also reached the upper end of its production guidance range, thanks to higher head grades.
During 2023, Fortuna Silver Mines continued the trend of improving its annual safety performance throughout the company, with a record low accident frequency rate.
