Revenues from local content valued at 1231.23 billion FCFA in 2022. These goods and services were paid for by Senegalese companies in the amount of 349.201 billion FCFA (28.36%), compared with 882.029 billion FCFA (71.63%) for foreign suppliers. These figures come from the National Local Content Monitoring Committee and are published in the 2022 report of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) of Senegal (EITI-Sn).
Of the extractive structures and companies that have requested services from local Senegalese companies, the top three are the Cement Marketing Company (Société de Commercialisation du Ciment – SOCOCIM) with 112.095 billion FCFA, Sabodala Gold Operations (SGO) with 86.707 billion FCFA and the Sahel Cement Company (Ciments du Sahel – CDS) with a payment of 66.480 billion FCFA.
Over the same period, mining companies operating in Senegal invested 882.029 billion FCFA in the acquisition of goods and services from foreign suppliers. The Chemicals Industry of Senegal (Industrie Chimiques du Sénégal – ICS), the Sahel Cement Company (Ciments du Sahel – CDS) and Sabodala Gold Operations (SGO) were the main companies making the most payments to foreign suppliers, with 384.034 billion FCFA, 150.236 billion FCFA and 117.616 billion FCFA respectively.
