#Altair_Resources Inc. has appointed Toussaint BAMOUNI as its country representative in Burkina Faso. Altair has also appointed Mr. Bamouni to its advisory board, the company announced in a release. Toussaint Bamouni will support Altair in its acquisition and development programme in the country.
George S. Young of the Altair Group said: “We are very pleased to welcome Toussaint to the Altair team and to our advisory board. We will benefit greatly from his industry knowledge, extensive contacts and expertise in operating in Burkina Faso. We look forward to his advice and support as Altair expands its acquisition and development programs in Burkina Faso.
Vancouver-based Canadian company Altair’s main objective is to target the acquisition and development of gold projects in Burkina Faso and to advance its Simon project in Nevada, according to the release.
Who is Toussaint Bamouni?
Toussaint Bamouni is a metallurgist by education. He holds a Diploma of Higher Specialised Studies (DESS) from the Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine, (Nancy, France). Prior to this specialisation, he studied chemistry, biochemistry, biology and geology and obtained a DEUG 2 from the University of Ouagadougou, followed by a master’s degree in science and technology from the University of Cocody in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. He worked as a metallurgical engineer at the Poura mine plant where he held the positions of head of the ore processing department and then assistant to the director of ore processing.
He then joined the first cement factory in Burkina, CIMAT, which later became DIAMOND CEMENT, as head of the cement production plant. His career will continue in the cement plant later as deputy project manager of the cement plant CIMBURKINA.
From 2017 to July 2022, he was recruited to the Chamber of Mines of Burkina as Executive Director.
