“What mechanisms for an effective implementation of local content in the mining sector in Burkina Faso?” is the theme that will be developed at the 3rd edition of the Burkina Faso Mining Supplier Days organised by the Alliance of Burkinabe Suppliers of Mining Goods and Services (ABSM).
Scheduled from 8 to 9 December 2022 at the Ouaga 2000 conference room, this activity aims to communicate on the procedures for awarding contracts, the state of art in terms of local supply in mining companies, train and raise awareness among participants on the requirements and standards for the supply of goods and services in mines, communicate on local content texts, explore financing solutions to support national mining suppliers, highlight the link between Corporate Social Responsibility and local content in the mining sector, put local mining suppliers in touch with mining buyers, etc.
It is in a context where several national economic operators do not have a good knowledge of these texts which will allow them to seize the multiple opportunities in this sector that this activity was initiated.
The 3rd edition of the Burkina Faso Mining Supplier Days is an opportunity for suppliers who are familiar with the texts to have easy access to the purchasing and logistics departments of mining companies to present their potential in response to the needs of the mines.
This activity will benefit from the support of several structures in the mining sector, notably the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Careers.
