The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Faso/Russia, Alexey Saltykov was received in audience on the evening of 10 January 2023 by the Minister of Energy, Mines and Quarries, Simon-Pierre Boussim. “The discussions focused on the state of bilateral cooperation, as well as the prospects for strengthening them”, according to the Ministry’s Communication and Press Relations Department in a statement issued.
The same statement said that the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Burkina Faso, Alexey Saltykov, said he was pleased to have exchanged with the Minister Simon-Pierre Boussim. The Russian diplomat said he had come to discuss with the minister a number of issues of common interest. “We reviewed the issues of bilateral cooperation,” said Alexey Saltykov
The two parties also noted the important opportunities and possibilities for investment and partnership in the energy and mining sectors. According to the Russian diplomat, the prospects of this meeting are promising.
