“As part of its ongoing efforts to optimise the company and deliver Endeavour’s next phase of growth, the Company is pleased to announce several changes to its senior management team”. This was the content of a press release issued on 23 January 2023 in London by Endeavour Mining. The purpose of the release was to announce the key points of the preliminary financial and operating results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2022.
Endeavour Mining operates 6 mines, 4 of which are in Burkina Faso. Through this release, the company announces that in March 2023, Joanna Pearson will step down as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) and will be replaced by Guy Young.
Guy Young joins Endeavour after working at Vesuvius plc, the FTSE250 molten metals engineering and technology group, where he was finance director since 2015. Prior to that he was CFO of Tarmac and then Lafarge Tarmac, the UK building materials company. Prior to that, he held a number of finance and business development roles at Anglo-American plc.
In addition, Martino De Ciccio, currently vice president of strategy and investor relations, will take on the newly created role of deputy CFO, continuing his focus on investor relations.
Other changes have also been made to the Company’s management team to reflect the evolution of the Company in recent years. The Executive Committee will now consist of ten members:

- Mark Morcombe as Chief Operating Officer,
- Guy Young as CFO,
- Morgan Carroll as EVP Corporate Finance
- General Counsel, Pascal Bernasconi as EVP Public Affairs and Security,
- David Dragone as EVP HR and Communications who recently joined the Group,
- Martin White as EVP Projects (previously General Manager of Endeavour’s Mana mine),
- Jono Lawrence as Vice President Director of Exploration (formerly Vice President Director of Exploration),
- Guenole Pichevin as Vice President Director of Strategy and Business Development (formerly Vice President of Strategy and Business Development)
- Djaria Traore as Vice President ESG and Supply Chain (previously Vice President of the Supply Chain)
- Jono Lawrence replaces Patrick Bouisset who retired on 31 December 2022 (In line with Endeavour’s succession planning strategy), Subject to shareholder approval at the next Annual General Meeting in May 2023, Patrick Bouisset is expected to be appointed to the Endeavour Board as a non-executive director and representative of La Mancha, replacing Jim Askew who has decided to retire and will not be standing for re-election.
