Christine Logbo-Kossi has been involved for over 12 years in giving a strong and unavoidable voice to private mining operators in Ivory Coast. She is the CEO of the GPMCI, commonly known as the Chamber of Mines, and sits on its Board of Directors. Before entering the mining sector, she worked for 07 years for the Association of Communication Consulting Agencies of the Ivory Coast (Association des Agences Conseils en Communication de Côte d’Ivoire, AACC-CI), where she set up the White Book on Advertising (Livre Blanc de la Publicité), a veritable compass still used by Ivorian publicists. In 2015, she founded the Ivory Coast Mining Women ‘s Network (Femmes Minières de Côte d’Ivoire, FEMICI), which she has chaired since 2019. At the same time, with other women from the UEMOA space, the West African Mining Women’s Association (WIMOWA) was set up in 2016. In 2018, she was appointed vice-president in charge of West Africa on the board of the African Association of Women in the Extractive Sector (AWIMA). Her commitment and leadership earned her a place in the Top 5 of the list of the 100 most inspiring women in the mining world. At the same time, she will be co-chaired by the Advisory Committee of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in partnership with Global Affairs Canada for the implementation of a seven-year programme (2017-2023) for local economic development in Africa, based on the extractive industries. Christine LOGBO-KOSSI holds a Global Executive Master in Strategic Management from HEC Paris and two (02) Masters respectively in International Cooperation & Solidarity and in Marketing Communication Public Relations from the University of EVRY and ESSEC in France.
