On Thursday 19 July 2023, Moïse Ouédraogo and Amadou Kaba were appointed Technical Adviser and Director of Information Systems respectively. This follows an appointment by the Council of Ministers on 12 July 2023.
Moïse Ouédraogo was appointed by Cabinet Director Yaya Sankara. Prior to this appointment, Moïse Ouédraogo, a financial services administrator, held a number of positions, including Secretary General of the Ministry and Director General of Sectoral Studies and Statistics (directeur général des études et des statistiques sectorielles – DGESS) at the Ministry of Mines. He took the opportunity of his installation to express his gratitude to the highest authorities for the trust placed in his modest person.
Amadou Kaba has been installed as Director of Information Systems (Directeur des Systèmes d’informations – DSI) by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Quarries, Jean-Baptiste Kaboré. He replaces Souleymane Ouédraogo. While thanking those in charge for the trust placed in him, Mr Ouédraogo made the following commitment: “I undertake to increase the level of digitalisation of the ministry and to improve the security of our information systems”.
On 7 July 2023, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Quarries, Jean-Baptiste Kaboré, appointed Ousmane Barbari as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Burkinabe Rural Electrification Agency (Agence Burkinabè d’Électrification Rurale – ABER).
