In Côte d’Ivoire, Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé’s new government has been announced. The list of new ministers was made public in the afternoon of 17 October 2023.
Robert Beugré Mambé was appointed Prime Minister on 16 October 2023 following the dissolution of Prime Minister Patrick Achi’s government on 6 October 2023.
Mamadou Sangafowa Coulibaly has been reappointed Minister of Mines, Energy and Petroleum in the new government.
Born in December 1964 in Korhogo, Sangafowa Coulibaly holds a master’s degree in science and technology and a diploma in accounting and finance. He became interested in politics as a young man and was elected to the first bureau of Allasane Ouattara’s party, the Rally of Republicans (Rassemblement des républicains – RDR).
Sangafowa Coulibaly joined the government in 2014 as Minister of Agriculture. He left the government in 2019 before being recalled in 2022 to the Department of Mines, Energy and Petroleum. His mentor is Amadou Gon Coulibaly. He was successively his deputy chief of staff when he held the ministerial portfolio for agriculture and his deputy at Korhogo town hall.
