Partnership between ENAM and Essakane SA: The meaning of commitments

Officially, a partnership agreement was signed between the mining company IAMGOLD Essakane SA and the National School of Administration and the Judiciary (École Nationale d’Administration et de Magistrature – ENAM) on Friday 03 November 2023. According to the General Managers of the signatory organisations, this agreement is intended to develop and strengthen an existing partnership between the two organisations.

The agreement commits both the mining company Iamgold Essakane SA and the National School of Administration and the Judiciary (École Nationale d’Administration et de Magistrature – ENAM). ENAM’s mission is to provide initial and continuing professional training for civil servants and local authorities.

As part of its commitments, ÉNAM undertakes, among other things, to mobilise the human and material resources required to support the activities agreed under the partnership, to provide the training requested by Essakane SA for its staff, to invite Iamgold Essakane SA to lead conferences on subjects of common interest, to develop and implement projects and programmes of common interest, to co-organise any activity deemed necessary by the 02 parties and to promote the brand image of Iamgold Essakane SA in its communications.

As part of this partnership, Iamgold Essakane SA mining company has undertaken to provide ENAM with training sessions as part of its staff capacity-building initiatives, to host trainees as part of their training at ENAM, to host conferences in its area of expertise for ENAM student civil servants, and to mobilise human, material, financial and information resources to carry out the activities covered by the partnership.

It has also undertaken to co-organise any activity deemed necessary by the 02 parties, to develop and implement projects and programmes of common interest, and to monitor the partnership in collaboration with ENAM. Both parties state that any new commitment by one of the parties will be the subject of an amendment to this agreement.
