Orezone Gold Corporation announced today, 24 November 2023, that it has filed with the national authorities of Burkina Faso, the technical report of the Phase II Expansion Study for its Bomboré mine in Burkina Faso. A copy of the report is available on SEDAR+ and on the Company’s website.
The technical report was prepared for Orezone by Lycopodium Mineral Canada Ltd. staff and other qualified industry consultants.
Orezone Gold Corporation is a Canadian mining company that already operates the Bomboré open-pit gold mine in Burkina Faso. The company’s Phase II expansion project involves the construction of a stand-alone 4.4 million tonnes per annum ore plant operating in parallel with the existing first plant to significantly increase annual gold production at a low capital cost. Construction of the new plant will enable Bomboré to produce an average of 209,000 ounces of gold per year at a cost of 1,121 dollars per ounce for more than 08 years. First gold production from Phase II of the expansion is scheduled for the third trimester.
