Sanbrado mine in Burkina Faso: Production forecasts achieved with 7,055 tonnes in 2023

0

West African Resources, which operates the Sanbrado mine, announced in a press release issued on Tuesday 9 January 2024 that it produced 7,055 tonnes in 2023. This performance is due in part to the 4% increase in gold production in the 4 quarter of 2023, as well as a rise in grades of 2.2 grams per tonne and a recovery of 94.1% over the same period.

This production is in line with its forecasts for 2023. The same press release states that in 2023, the company did not experience any significant social, health or safety incidents. It worked a total of 4.2 million hours without incident in 2023.

The company will publish its full December 2023 quarterly business report with information on production costs by 31 January 2024.

The same applies to production forecasts and the cost of gold for 2024. Information on updated resources and reserves and the 10-year production outlook will also be communicated during the 1st quarter of 2024.
