The Minister for Energy, Mines and Quarries, Yacouba Zabré Gouba, received the Deputy Managing Director of Salma Mining, Pascal Diendéré, on Friday 19 January 2024. He came to tell the minister about the challenges facing his mining company.
: “We presented the various aspects of Salma Mining and expressed our grievances. We expect the mining authorities to support us so that we can move forward more quickly,” said Pascal Diendéré after the hearing, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Mines’ Communications and Press Relations Department.
He also took the opportunity of this audience to express his gratitude to the Minister for the role he played in obtaining the decree extending the construction period for the mine.
Salma Mining’s CEO also took the opportunity to congratulate their minister on his appointment.
